Consistently high demand for our services makes it necessary to increase our operational capacity. We are currently addressing this need via a recruitment drive for a range of roles within our organisation, including Independent Social Workers, Family Support Workers and Child Contact Supervisors.

All our FSW/CS employees are based at home and travel to their assignments.

Experience required for both Family Support Work and Contact Supervison:

Proven experience working with children and families
Strong communication skills, fluent English both verbal and written, with the ability to build trusting relationships
Computer owner with MS word for report writing.
Car owner essential, as this is community based work
Willing to undertake Lone Working after training

All employees must have an Enhanced DBS check or be willing to apply and pay for one if successful.

Salary is £14-£16 per hr based on day of the week worked. Travel time and mileage is paid from your home for all community based work.

NORFOLK

Part Time Family Support Workers

We are expanding our dedicated family support worker team across Norfolk, as we are currently experiencing a high demand for our services in the county.

With flexible hours, competitive pay, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to your community, this is the perfect role for those experienced in working with families and children looking for a rewarding opportunity. You must be confident to undertake lone working in a family home, once full trained.

As a family support worker you will also help with community based assessments, when needed and they often run for several weeks, usually in the family home with varying shift lengths including occasional 12hr /24hr shifts available day and night often as the early stages of an overall assessment, for those looking for more hours.

Applicants must be flexible and willing to travel. We would expect candidates to be willing to drive across county to support a family when needed, the more flexible you can be the more work will be available. Travel time and mileage from your home is paid for all community based work.

You can choose which work to accept and training would be given in family support and child contact supervision.

All positions are zero-hour bank contracts, as we cannot guarantee minimum hours each month due to the demand driven nature of our work

LONDON, SOUTH EAST and EAST ANGLIA

We are looking for both family support workers and child contact supervisors across London, East Anglia and the Southeast who are willing to travel to where support is needed.

Part Time Community Family Support Worker

As a community-based Family Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting children and families through outreach, welfare checks, and community-based assessments across the Southeast. You'll work both in the community and in family homes, making a tangible difference in their lives. You must be confident to undertake lone working in a family home, once full trained.

Shift length varies per family but most of the work will be short term in the family home. However we can have occasional 12hr /24hr shifts available day and night often as the early stages of an overall assessment, for those looking for more hours, but are optional.

Applicants must be flexible and willing to travel. We would expect candidates to be willing to drive to where the support is needed. This will vary with each family, as we work in their homes, but on occasions could be up to 2 hrs drive from your location. However this would be whilst an assessment is underway for example, which typically will be for a few weeks on a shift basis.

You can choose which work to accept and the more flexible you can be the more work could be available.

Part Time Community Child Contact Supervisors

As a community based child contact supervisor you would be overseeing family time spent between a parent and child not living together and writing a report up afterwards. The children we work with may be living with a parent, an extended family member or foster carers

Once a parent or Local Authority in your area requests our child contact services, and a family is allocated to you, contact sessions tend to take place on a regular basis e.g. 2/3 hrs once a week over many months, although each family’s needs are different and so the frequency and length of sessions would vary.

Applicants must be flexible and willing to travel. We would expect candidates to be willing to drive to where the family time between a child and parent was taking place.

You can choose which work to accept and the more flexible you can be the more work could be available.

Travel time and mileage is paid from your home for all community based work.
